It Takes the Entire Global Village to Educate its Children

The Canada-Africa Foundation for Rural Youth Education is based on two premises:

  • There is no better investment than one in education of a nation’s youth
  • When students are aware of the commitment of others to help them realize their aspirations, they will be more motivated to strive to successfully complete primary school in spite of the negative effects of the social, educational, and economic ills—low self esteem, poverty, neglect, significant others’ prophecies of their inevitable failure, lure of drugs, crime, teenage pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases—that threaten their success in school and beyond.
I am kindly requesting that you join me in committing to providing hope to students, and other, as they strive to realize their cherished aspirations. I commend and thank you for your kind consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you as we help provide an avenue for needy students in rural Africa to realize their aspirations.

Aklowa Scholarship Project
The Aklowa Scholarship Project (ASP) is based on two premises:
    (1) There is no better investment than one in education of a nation’s youth and
    (2) The best education is the one that the student acquires in his or her immediate environment.
We are requesting that you kindly join us in committing to providing hope to students as they strive to realize their cherished aspirations. We commend and thank you for your kind consideration. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you as we help provide an avenue for needy students in rural Africa to realize their aspirations.
The ASP is Afretech and Canada-Africa Foundation for Rural Education joint initiative.
